TaKiyah Wallace brings a deep passion for empowering nonprofit organizations to thrive, particularly those focused on the arts, education, and youth development. With over a decade of experience founding and working with nonprofits, TaKiyah has honed her fundraising, program development, and organizational strategy expertise. As the founder of Brown Girls Do Ballet, she has successfully grown the organization from a small grassroots effort into a nationally recognized platform supporting young girls of color in ballet, securing critical funding, building partnerships, and creating long-lasting programs.

In her consulting work, TaKiyah leverages her unique perspective as a nonprofit leader to guide organizations in reaching their full potential. Her clients benefit from her strong understanding of the challenges facing small—to medium-sized nonprofits and her strategic approach to maximizing resources and impact. She is known for her ability to create actionable growth plans, connect organizations with the right funding opportunities, and implement sustainable solutions for long-term success.

Recently, TaKiyah returned to her roots as an 18-year veteran public school educator and photographer, and she is simultaneously building her consulting portfolio. She advises nonprofits on key areas such as fundraising, program design, and community engagement. With her experience in both the creative and nonprofit sectors, TaKiyah offers a well-rounded approach to supporting organizations in achieving their missions.

Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, TaKiyah holds a B.A. in Psychology and a Master's in Liberal Arts from Texas Christian University. She is currently a YBGB (Young, Black, and Giving Back) and Do Good Institute Fellow in the University of Maryland's Nonprofit Management certificate program. She resides in Fort Worth-Dallas, Texas (and not the other way around), with her tiny family and a bunch of plants.
